I buy 5 lb bags of leg quarters or family packs of steak, pork or hamburger and take it home and divide it into meal size storage bags just right for my family. It saves money and I have a full freezer in return and I save money `WIN~WIN~WIN!!!

I do this and then when I divide out the meat to freeze in individual servings, I marinate some of it so it will marinate while freezing and while it is defrosting so I can save some time that way. - by RONIH2O

Try using a food saver system, or a cheaper version of it (I have a Reynolds air-sucker, but they aren't sold anymore). That will help prevent freezer burn! I think that Ziploc makes something similar, but it is a hand pump (great for strength training, but that's a lot of work!). - by FIEVEL96
  • How do you prevent it from getting "freezer burn"?? Good idea and the marinating is genius. - by MALUQUINA
