To make sure my pedometer is accurate I count my steps after I set the stride length. There is nothing more frustrating than having a pedometer that will register 40 steps when you stand up and push in your chair as one of my more expensive walmart brands did. My Omron is exceptionally accurate.

So right. I clipped my tracker onto my shoelaces after I'd tried it other ways. It's perfect! I don't have to worry about it falling off and breaking. It tracks perfectly for me.

Thank you! Now, when you say, "secure" do you mean "clip on"? With past pedometers, I've had trouble keeping mine on my foot. I'd like to tally the amount of walking and stairs that I do quite a bit of while at work. I'm almost constantly moving, and have lost 2 pedometers do to them flying off and hitting things (never mind the looks from co-workers emoticon )
KAKIPOPUP 6/2/2010 4:09:00 PM

This doesn't change the calibration? I quit wearing a pedometer because (1) they didn't stick to my waistbands well and (2) they were always wrong...but this might work well -
