I find something that really makes cardio exercise much more enjoyable is to first improve flexibility, then strength, and then increase cardio.
MORE INFORMATION:
Since cardio exercises are associated with weight loss, it is easy to become focused on the scale and forget about the other two aspects of fitness. Being flexible and strong makes cardio exercise much less of an ordeal so walking, biking, etc. becomes more pleasant when the body moves with ease.

Love this. I'm guilty of focusing on the cario only. I need to not forget about the flexibility and strength. Thanks.

Do your yoga!
Working nights and getting home late, I sometimes find it hard to sleep. I've taken to putting my yoga mat out next to my bed before I go to work. When I get home, instead of sitting on the couch watching TV until I'm tired enough to sleep, I get in a quick yoga session. Stretches me out, relaxes me after a long night, and gets me ready to sleep.

If there is something I REALLY want to eat I give myself permission to eat it. I may limit my portion size, or adjust my eating for the rest of the day, but by using this strategy I have headed off the cravings, feelings of deprivation, and need to be perfect that would have made me give up before.

I realize not everyone has the flexibility in their plan to do this. I am on Weight Watcher's and it works for me because I am a rebel...lol...and it gives me the flexibility to make my own choices in such a way that I do not feel the urge to "get done" with it, I feel I can do this for a lifetime.
If you are looking for a DVD for stretching and/or flexibility, I HIGHLY recommend "TotalBody Stretch by Tammilee ". The full body stretch workout is broken into 3 sections (standing, sitting, or floor). You can do all of them or just one at a time. There is also a stretching workout just for flexibility. This DVD is so relaxing! Tamilee has such a calming voice, and in the background is the ocean and soft piano music. She does a great job of explaining how to do each stretch. A++++
