If you don't feel like you can jog at all, start out by just jogging to the 1st telephone pole, house, mailbox, whatever. Then walk the rest of the way. After you're comfortable with that, try the next pole, house,mailbox.
Then try alternating, walk to the 1st pole jog to the next pole, walk to the next pole, jog to the next pole. It can be fun challenging yourself. Before you know it, you will be jogging more than you could in the beginning.
