  • That's a good one to remember during plateaus, thank you :) - by REDSAMUR

Hear hear! This is something most of us tend to forget - there is always someone who is worse off than you. Stay positive! Eventually we will all reach our goals.

  • Your thought here is very true. My husband is losing faster than I am. Even when he goes up slightly he is still father ahead than I am. I remind him of that on his down days. And your comment reminds me that someone else would love to be where I am! It is all a journey toward better health - that is what is most important. - by TYLFAMILY
  • Oh this is a great thought. I never looked at it that way. - by SOLITARY65
  • How true!! So often times there are people that are at more difficult stages in life then we are, and yet, they are able to find the motivation, determination, and strength to go for it. They let go of the excuses and just do it!!! They don't dwell on where they are at and feel sorry for themselves, they make the best of what they have. No matter how bad we think we've had it, someone else out there has had it much worse. I've heard of a man who started out at almost 900 pounds and lost weight. No joke. If he can do it, what am I complaining for? Be happy you are alive. That you have two arms, two legs, your sense of sight, your sense of hearing. The ability to laugh, the ability to walk, your feet and your hands. A house to live in, clean water, ability to access a gym or go outside and walk. Think of all the people who don't get to experience that, and how many want to. Make the best of your life NOW! - by -SUGARKISSES-
  • Love this! I often think of that. Thanks! emoticon - by SUSANSKI
  • Great attitude. Love it. I do not compete with anyone but myself. Lying about your weight when keeping a record only hurts you. We all have ups and downs. If you fall down, stand up, wipe off the guilt and try again! - by TAJENSEN
  • You are so right! Thanks for the encouragement. - by TRISHLEW421

  • Wow, I just love this and from now I will try to remember this to help me to spur onward and downward, with knowing that my body is being loved by me. I have gained back 18# and have hated myself for it and it's time to change and believe in myself because I am learning better how to love my body and I'm worth being well taken care of and that means to get healthy, once and for all! - by KAREN2LOSE55
  • I never really thought of this. I always see myself as the biggest person in the world. I thank you for reminding me that I am lucky to be the way I look and how far I have come. I am gratefull for all the good things I have achieved and I will think positive to continue to move forward. emoticon - by CHICAM
  • I always try to remember that things could always be worse!! Thanks for re-reminding me!! emoticon - by CYNTHIA040

I always think of this when I start getting negative about my body. Some people would love to be where I'm at, so I should be thankful I'm starting with a smaller weight loss (about 25 lbs), instead of a larger one - by TALITHABITA
