At the top of every hour throughout the day I take my 8 oz measuring cup, fill it with water and kick it back. It takes me 6 gulps and its done till the next hour. That way I know I'm getting in at least my 8 and some bonus water.

I've always struggled getting in enough water. A friend said she was getting me a water bottle. I don't know what is about the gift but I love my fancy purple bottle. Now I get in my water and I don't think about it. My advice, get a bottle you love.
I was having a hard time getting all my water in- and then I bought a plastic cup with a lid (to keep on my desk at work) that also came with a straw. The straw has made a HUGE difference. Getting all my water in no longer seems like a chore. That straw made all the difference.
Getting enough water in helps me stay hydrated and feeling better in every way. When I don't drink enough water, I feel bloated and "blah". SOO, in order to make sure I get a good start on getting in enough water in a day, I fill up a large water bottle the night before (atleast 16 oz is what I do) and stick it beside my bed. In the morning, the first thing I do is drink the water...
if you don't like room temp water you could freeze it first and then sit it by your bed so that in morning it should still be a little chilled.
