When I'm feeling a little blue because things are not quite going the way I'd planned, I find a reason to laugh! A good joke, a funny email from a friend, an old memory. And boy can I laugh! And the next thing you know, I'm feeling great and back on track. Laughter really is the best medicine!

One of the best motivators I've had is to keep a journal. That way, when I'm feeling down, I can write down exactly how I'm feeling, and then it's done. And no one has to see it, but I know I've vented and gotten those icky feelings off my chest.
When I'm feeling down or just not motivated I blast Christina Aguilera's "Fighter" on my stereo/iPod. It picks my mood up and I get good angry. I also listen to it while I'm exercising. I find that at least for the 4 minutes it's on, I'm pushing myself twice as hard.
When I'm feeling down, I start cleaning. But if I try and tackle too big of a project that will usually end up in me getting discouraged and giving up and feeling worse. At the end of the day, it's amazing to look back and see how much you've accomplished. It makes for an uplifting, productive day.
