I LOVE getting the spark people awards in my email and on my sparkpage at the end of the month and seeing the number of weeks of my SparkPeople fitness streak increasing!
After I saw them the first time, I eagerly awaited to see what I would get at the end of the next month! It keeps me motivated to see them! I also love seeing the sparkstreaks of how long I've exercised! ! Seeing the streaks keeps me from missing workouts because I don't want to break my record!!

I love the Spark awards. I rely on the MyTrophies & SparkStreaks to keep me on track and ensure that I do not undervalue my accomplishments. When they give me an award, I give myself a reward. For example, I just got a trophy for losing 25 lbs so I went to Amazon and purchased a $20 watch from my wish list. This watch is a reward & a tool, it has a bezel that will help me to track my exercise minutes. So reward yourself for all of your awards, weight loss, consistency, challenges etc. Itís fun!

For my family, I make out a monthly budget of all monthly bills (such as mtg, groceries, credit card, utilities, etc). Start by making a monthly template and each month it is easy to stick to what needs to be paid (mtg, child care, car pymts, food, etc) I have found by doing this I have paid down or paid off bills quicker and still have money left over at the end of the week and month. Also make sure you list money placed in savings as a monthly "expense" so you build up your fund.
If you like to snack on favorite 'junk' food, set it out in front of you where you can see it. Put a label on that reads, "Award? or an "I'm bored" ? Do yourself a favor and consider it carefully. After having a good day, why not award yourself. If you're not doing so great, remind yourself not to eat something mindlessly. Eat with a purpose.
