If I find I really don't want to go to the gym, I'll just say, "Fine, I won't go. But I'll put my gym shoes on." Once I have my gym shoes on, somehow I'm out the door. If you can't bring yourself to start working out, just try to take one small step in that direction. The first step is the hardest!
I learned this in a group therapy class I did in cognitive behavioural therapy when I was suffering from depression. Sometimes the whole behaviour is too daunting, but you can ALWAYS do the first step.

I can't get outside and exercise unless I put my shoes on, so that is the habit I adapted early on no matter how tired, how much I didn't want to, I put my shoes on and got out the door. Now it is a habit! CREATE THE HABIT! PUT ON YOUR SHOES! MOTIVATE YOUR SELF! MOVE YOUR SELF!
If you're like me and always look forward to a lazy day, but end up being in a lazy DAZE, here's a simple solution: PUT YOUR SHOES ON! I generally don't wear shoes in the house (cuts down on cleaning), so I find if I put my shoes on I'm more likely to get up, and get out or on the treadmill!
