I now eat a Laughing Cow Light Swiss Cheese wedge before bed at night rather than my past choices of "junk food" I find that I don't sleep well without something in my stomach right before bed. This satisfies my need for something creamy with a healthier choice.
My past choices would include chocolate, ice cream or other high calorie carbs. This is a much better choice and I find I am content with one wedge rather than going back for more as I often did with other foods.
I microwave a 40-cal. low fat hot dog and roll the dog in just half of a deli-flat (50 calories) along with a favorite condiment. Today I microwaved a tbsp. of medium salsa for 15 seconds, to take the chill off, and rolled it with my hotdog=a yummy 95 calorie sandwich.
I've also rolled my hot dog with microwaved sauerkraut or chili sauce at times, but salsa is my personal fave. Sometimes I am content with just a little mustard. The hot dogs are a once in a blue moon treat because of the sodium and chemicals in them.
