Cabot'S 75% Reduced Fat Sharp Cheddar Cheese

This is the best low fat cheese on the market. It tastes great, it melts easily and it just good. Walmart sells it for about $2.48 for 8 oz. I shred 1/2 oz to go in my scrambled egg. During the week I pack one oz to go with the rest of my breakfast. I think of it as replacing my egg. Great!

  • I use this as well in my eggs and I think it's great. Uncooked, it is a bit rubbery but I still like it. especially the calorie count. - by SUNFISHDEB
You can also buy this at Sams club by the bag. I think it is around $8.00 and they have swiss & sharp chedder. - by CORNSTUM
  • I occasionally and grudgingly bought this product, finding it like cardboard, but I'm not expecting the greatly-reduced fat content to come anywhere near the genuine article. Now injury is added to insult: I paid $5.49 for the 8-ounce stick at my nearest Manhattan supermarket. I've transferred my affections to Trader Joe's "lite" slices (cheddar, muenster, provolone and others). They're not too bad, but I miss the flexibility of slicing/dicing/etc. as I'd choose for various uses. emoticon - by SYLPHINPROGRESS
  • Great idea! - by MAESTRAKARINE
  • I usually use the 50% reduced since it less rubbery than the 75% light, but for light cheeses they're both great. - by CIELBEE
  • Thanks for the info - by SMITHANI
Cabot makes great cheese - I like the 50% reduced fat cheddar better, though. - by KAKIPOPUP
