When I am craving something sweet after dinner or in the afternoon I turn to dessert teas.... chocolate hazelnut, creme caramel, vanilla nut... there are several out there. They usually come in decaf varieties. As an added bonus, tea suppresses your appetite!

When sweet cravings hit, 'once you cop, you can't stop!!' When the craving (or temptation hits for the first time, I tell myself, "I will, but in 30 minutes". I keep this up as long as I can. By the time I give in, I still do less damage than I would have done. Sugar has NO nutritional value!!! So it's not a necessity, but a luxury. Let's make it worth it and enjoy it even more! 468
If you crave sweets, it could be a sign that you consume too much salt. Other possiblilities are lack of sleep or poor nutrition. Sometimes we also mistake thirst for hunger. Water is a powerful appetite suppressant and that why drinking water is so important.
