Plan your workouts for the week but allow a bit of flexibility. For instance if you are scheduled to workout on Wednesday but are unsuccessful make it up on another day - don't feel bad just move on

  • Very good advice. I like keeping a schedule, and sometimes feel bad when life gets in the way and I miss a day - but you are right. Just get right back on track ASAP.

    Great advice! Although I know I'm "only" human and realistically cannot expect perfection, I still often do! Inevitably, I disappoint myself, and the self-recrimination is so demoralizing I often give up entirely. This way, it seems not like a "mortal sin" but like a glitch in schedule that needs a simple accommodation!
