Bring Along A 6-Pack Cooler Of Drinks On Day Trips

When traveling around town for the day, my husband and I bring a 6-pack cooler of drinks so that we do not have to spend double or triple the money to buy individual drinks along the way. If you had a larger group, you could pack a bit larger a cooler.

If you are tempted to go to the drive thru every day, do this instead. Every day pack a small cooler with healthy foods and drinks to keep in your car. Bring yogurt sticks (easier to eat), carrot sticks and low fat dip, low fat protein bars and bottles of water with you so you not be tempted by going and eating high fat foods at the drive thru and you will stay hydrated and not be as hungry. Try it, it works!!
Plus if you have kids, they will have healthy snacks available to them as well. Good for the entire family!
For 5 years I have been a travel basketball/baseball Mom. I love cheering/driving/visiting.....and yes .....eating on these weekend trips. This summer with SP help I am ready to tackle these weekends with a healthier approach. Friday, I bought, cut, pre-packaged, planned, packed cooler, packed utencils,etc. This really got me excited for my week-end with my "special food". Week-end total "slam dunk" success. The team brought home a 1st place trophy, and I brought home an empty cooler.
