I used to think only big efforts counted toward weight loss, but I've found you don't always have to go to the gym to help you get to goal. Walking, dancing, and moving instead of sitting while you watch TV can make a real difference.

Keeping handweights nearby is great, too - the duration of a commercial break is pretty much exactly perfect for a set of biceps curls, triceps workouts, or crunches/pushups/planks!

I think I am going to try this tip this winter when the weather is bad.

Yes I agree any time I am going to watch tv I get out my exercise mat & do something during the show. This is such a great way to fit in a little exercise. I keep a bag with hand weights, stretchy bands. Then I am not doing the same moves all the time

I get restless if I sit too long watching tv. I walk and do pushups & crunches while watching tv. It works for me.

I HAVE to watch tv while walking on my treadmill!...I usually walk 40-60 min.at a time and I can't walk really fast,so,watching tv makes the time go faster!

Yes, I do the walking with the Wii Fit and find it very motivating on days without good weather.
