This week I lost one pound. I got on the scale and said sarcastically, "Oh woohoo 1 stinking pound." My friend I was going to work out with that morning said "Yes you lost a pound! It's better than nothing." Remembering to celebrate the little victories!

This may not work for all metabolisms-- but I weigh myself every morning using a digital scale. That way I can see my daily progress, even if it's just .2 pounds less. It keeps me from splurging because I'll see the results the very next day versus the end of the week.
I use a digital scale, a dial scale won't work too well for this.
