A common misconception among smokers is that they digest better if they smoke after eating. My tip is to brush their teeth straight after eating and drink some cold water. That way they will postpone smoking for at least an hour and their breath will stay fresh.
Don't overdo it with the water after eating! You don't want to dissolve your gastric fluids too much! Remember that the target is just to avoid smoking by keeping your mouth fresh
