How do we plan? Going to the grocery store and buying healthy foods then tracking them on our nutritional tracker. Or, by making a fitness plan and following up with cardio and strength training. If we have no plan we WILL fail.

The best way to stay with your healthy efforts is to plan ahead of time. Always have a backup plan, too, in case an unexpected dinner invitation pops up, you don't have time to hit the gym, etc.
The scale is *not* your enemy nor something to be feared. It is a tool. Use it to help you do the work of weight loss.
Think about this: do you fear the thermometer? No! You use it to help you dress for outside. It's a tool that gives you a useful number.
Ditto the scale. I know I packed it in this Holiday. I knew the scale would give me a large number. Now I know wha tto do next to reach my goals.
No one scolded me. I did not sustain an injury.
Now, back to work.
FYI, my weight which I had sustained for over 20 month after losing 90# in 18 months, bounced up by 15# in 2011 ... 9# between Thanksgiving and New Year alone! Was it a failure of the Plan or a failure of me to plan?
I'm betting it was me that failed to stick to the plan.
Plan your work, work your plan OR the other way around would be plan to fail, fail to plan!!! ORAGNIZATION is the KEY to SUCCESS! Keep GOOD snacks on HAND ALWAYS, cut up all veggies AS SOON AS YOU GET THEM HOME and COOK your greens as soon as you get home too!! Then you have NO EXCUSES!!!
