I try to keep moving! Even if it's only walking to the grocery store from a parking space far away from the door or making an extra trip upstairs to gather the laundry. I go out of my way to add a few extra steps to every activity.

    so true! I remember when my car was new, I'd park way out--away from all the other cars-so my door wouldn't be dinged.

That's where I park now, so I walk a little more.

    I usually park one half block away from where I live. Gives me more steps in a day.

    Whenever I am waiting for anything, like the water to boil or the microwave for 30 seconds, I just walk around the island in my kitchen. I have been able to up my steps by the hundreds some days.

    An expensive diet program, which was free to me because they were testing alternatives, taught exactly what you do. Park farther from the store, take the stairs, get up frequently, and just generally stay active. Plus, it keeps your blood moving and makes me more alert.

    I am trying to get those steps in by getting up from my desk at least 1x every hour and parking far across the parking lot as well.

    This was all I did to start my weight loss journey - before I found spark people - along with never eating until stuffed - and went from 257 to 203 in a little under 3 years
