When I go on long runs I take chocolate milk with me and pack flexibile ice packs around it in a lunch box. When I get back to my car after the long run, not only do I have a nice cold container of chocolate milk, but I also have some ice packs in case something is sore. Chocolate milk is thought to have a perfect 4:1 carb/protein ratio for recovery so it works great after a run!

I've usually been really great with doing my home workout dvds. Recently, I've found it hard to keep motivated to 'press play' everyday. So, I asked my boyfriend to be my 'success buddy' . Now we have a workout date over the phone, at a specified time, every day!
When I'm running and I want to stop, I tell myself that my body is strong and I can do it. I just need to slow down my breathing by taking some big breaths and lengthen my stride to slow down but continuing to move.312
