Don't get bogged down in how much everyone around you is doing. If you walked half a mile yesterday, and three-quarters of a mile today, that is awesome! Who cares if your friends are walking two miles a day; you are going at your own pace, and you are doing great! Just concentrate on improving YOURSELF a little at a time and don't worry about anyone else! emoticon

  • You are so right! Yesterday I swam 30 laps of 25 yards. The first half I was swimming by myself and felt really good. Then a woman started swimming in the next lane at least twice as fast as I was. Being a rather competitive person, I started feeling bad, almost humilitated. Then I realized I am competing against no one but myself. Every stroke means I'm getting healthier. I finished my swim. - by SLENDERELLA61
