Put Together A Walk Pack

Members Were Sparked
This Sparked Me!

Since I am now walking on a fairly regular basis, I decided to put a walk pack together. Just used a small, sport sling backpack. I hate keeping a lot of stuff in my pockets, and sometimes don't even have pockets. It's ready to go on a moments notice by the door.

Items in mine:Rescue inhaler & glucose tablets (I'm diabetic & asthmatic); Special house key on a lanyard (special because I got a fun lanyard and matching key, also has my Medicalert dogtag on it); my phone, water bottles for me & my dog, umbrella, sunglasses, good girl cookies for puppy, ipod band

This really is a great idea. I have a small bag that I do the same thing with. I do need to add water bottles to mine though. I usually don't take it with me.

What a wonderful idea! I got an Amphipod waist pack to put my phone and ID in. I also put a little can of pepper spray in there. Now that I am walking a lot more (and a lot further) I am thinking about a Nathan waist pack that has section for water bottles. And I am getting a Road ID too.

I love this idea. I use it for my 5ks but I should do the same for walking around the development. @TheBev2 I like the idea of keeping the business card with information. I do not carry a wallet when I walk in the development.
THEBEV2 6/15/2013 5:45:00 AM

Don't forget to include some form of identification and emergency contact info. I travel for work and am often walking in a place where nobody would know me were I to have an accident. I wear a Road ID band when out exercising and keep a business card with emergency contact info in my pack too. Happy walking!
