I have a tendency toward depression and I am learning to not follow the thought pathway that moves me there. I was eating too much to help fight depression. Now I am trying to walk, meditate everyday and not give in to the thinking of depression. This is a hard time of year for me, but I'm not going there this year, instead I'm working to focus on what is right and everyday count what I am grateful for in my life. emoticon

  • I have had some bad times myself and can appreciate the suggested changes that you are implementing to deal with depressing thoughts. I also try to 'observe' them so as to control the emotional impact they make on me. I can't stop them but I can try to stay detached. Saying it is easier than doing it but progress is being slowly made. - by CRIEDL23
