If I know I'm going to indulge in high calorie goodies, I enter it into the food tracker in the morning so I know how many more calories I have to work with for the rest of the day. It usually keeps me from going over my limit.

Track your schedule and emotions on the Nutrition Tracker
A Spark friend added to her "favorites" non-food items to make the nutrition tracker more useful, e.g., "Skipped Meal," "Boredom." The system enters zeroes for nutrients, etc. She enters together her foods and moods for the day for an at-a-glance overview. I took it a small step further. I begin each non-food listing with "Note" so that I don't have to remember all of them or hunt through my "favorites" list: The notes are alphabetized together.
each time you track a food make sure you clikc the my favorites key, overtime you will find foods that you normally eat. Then when you track the food for the day use the myfavorites, it is much faster than looking each food up each day.
Overtime you will have most of the foods entered into your favorites and it is much faster in using the nutrition tracker.
When entering food in the Nutrition Tracker, use the Food Search option and click on food shared by other members. Whatever the food, whatever the brand, you will almost always find that someone else has already entered this item. Once you find the food you are looking for, enter it into your favorites.
