Biotene Toothpaste helps dry mouth tremendously. I use Colgate Total in the AM and Biotene at night. They also have mouthwash, oral gel for nightime, and gum. The gel is great. Forget the gum it's expensive and Orbit sugar free does the same thing. Toothpaste is about 5.50 at Walmart.

MORE INFORMATION:
Not as thristy anymore since using the Biotene.

I used to use this toothpaste and the mouthwash. I need to get back in the habit. Also I have very dry eyes. Do you have any suggestions?

Biotene is the answer to my problem with dry mouth. I use the toothpaste and keep the spray in my purse. But I still take my water with me everywhere.

Soothe xp by Baush & Lomb it is a little pricey but you only need a couple of drops before bedtime, it gets a little blurry but then it is better. I have used this for years. Works great. Optometrist told me about it. emoticon

I try to manage my eating by sticking to the Sparks diet plan. My problem comes in the evenings after settling down from a long day. I like to snack and it is generally whatever is in the cupboard. How can I control the snacking and keep my blood sugar under tight control?
CICLAMINO 2/16/2014 9:00:00 AM

Thanx for all the good idea, I am going to try them all. I also have diabetes 2 and right now I am out of control, I don't even want to try my blood sugar

Biotene also makes a dry-mouth GEL (not a toothpaste) you use it after brushing and it coats the tissues---keeping moisture in
Another Dry mouth product is GC America Dry Mouth Gel

Every evening I cook1/4 cup oat bran and 1/2 small babana in the microwave. I add 1/4 cup cottage ceese mix it well and in the am my blood sugar is around 100 often less. It works for me and snack 2 stays in my tracker all the time I just copy to the next day.I also use this for my breakfast with milled flax seed added

Almost every evening I have a bowl of popcorn without butter but with one of those flavored powders you can buy. Popcorn is satisfying and I read somewhere that it helps you sleep better. I've lost 30 lbs. and told my doctor I call it my Popcorn Diet. emoticon
ANNCAN1 10/6/2011 9:51:00 AM

@mrsqutpie - I'm a nighttime snacker, too. I'm finding that measured amounts of peanuts (almonds) or pretzels can satisfy me. Also, I try to stop ALL ingesting by 9pm.
