Diabetic? You should take extra precautions when driving.
Check your blood glucose before you go out and at least every 4 hours after. Take you blood glucose testing supplies with you, along with a fast-acting sugar source in case you go low. While you are driving if you feel that you have low blood glucose, stop the car, treat the low and wait 45 - 60 minutes before driving again.

Most kinds of whole wheat bread affect your blood sugar just like white bread, so if you are concerned about your blood glucose levels try Rye & pumpernickel breads as they are lower glycemic. No matter what kind of bread, your blood glucose levels will rise.
