Straight up military style calisthenics and drills will help you shed pounds and tone up without a gym or ANY equipment whatsoever aside from shoes. I'm talking Jumping Jacks, Sit-Ups, Push-Ups, High Knees, Mountain Climbers, Steam Engines, Up Downs, Military Press, Lunges and Squats. It's hard work but it pays off. Google search for military physical fitness requirements, and find your age group. It'll give you the standards and in turn something to shoot for.
Pick a date on a calendar a couple months into the future and have that be your "TEST" day -- see what level of fitness you're at and then work on getting your score higher a couple months later.
