One way I make sure I clock my exercise minutes is to plug in my goal time into the machine and tell myself I can get off whenever I want. That way there's no pressure, but I have my goal in sight. I usually end up staying on the whole time and I feel great about it in the end.

  • nice idea. I often distract myself with reading or music. Usually I'll try to reach a goal, like 5K distance or number of steps or amount of time.
