I've been on a plateau ever since I started this journey 3 months ago (I just didn't know it until now), I lost some weight but I struggled. I was on a strict 1200-1300 cal a day with very low sugar or fats and I was barley losing a pound a week and then I would gain it back again.

Well that has all changed in the last two weeks alone I have lost 8 pounds!!!! just by including peanuts, walnuts and olive oil into my diet on a daily basis. My calorie intake is now 1200-1500 calories. emoticon

Also another tip I don't eat at least 3 hours before bedtime, If I get hungry (which hardly happens) I sip my water or you can try something water based like oranges, melons, strawberries or hot chocolate. Hope this helps.

    Thanks for the advice, Im on a 6 month plateau, have been well within (low side) of my caloric limit for the day, added 30 more minutes of exercise (burning about 1000-1200 about 4x week with NO weight loss).

How much nuts/oils did you add and what time of day? I would certainly not mind adding some Peanut butter to my daily diet, but dont want to overdo it either....I also make my own Balsamic dressing and could add more Olive oil as well.

Looking forward to any suggestions/feedback.

    This sounds like me to a tee....I am going to try this. I also exercise 4 times a week & mix it up (Jillian Michaels pilates, and shred videos, elliptical, weights, walking) 1200-1300 cal; keep track of everything I eat, and can only lose 3 lbs and then put it back on...then off...then on...then off. for the last 6 months. Though I do love a serving of licorice; I try to stay whole wheat or multigrain, low fat, bake or grill with no skin, no frying; low sugar. and can't even lose 10 or 15 lbs. I am so sad cause I didn't reach my goal for June 5th, which is my birthday. I don't know what else to do

    When I saw a nutritionist, she said you absolutely need to have healthy fats every day to metaboloize body fat. She recommended a serving of olive oil or real butter.

    This sounds doable. I was staying away from the walnuts due to the high fat content but will try including them again to see if it helps. emoticon
