When I think about the weight I have lost, I think of it as the 3 pound cans of Crisco. I have lost over 60 pounds which would be like carrying 20 cans of Crisco. Can you imagine carrying 20 cans of Crisco everywhere you go. I have about 23 cans to go (69 pounds).

A question I see from new folks a lot is "what is a serving" - For example - 3 oz of meat is about the size of a deck of cards. A leftover joker taped to your refrigerator door marked "meat!" can be a helpful reminder. Cake - a medium post-it! Butter? A small one.
Every day that I do a minimum of 10 minutes of exercise, I give myself a star on a daily calendar. It seems silly, but the visual reminder really helps. Especially since I hate to see gaps on the calendar! And, of course, once you get in 10 minutes, its so much easier to get in another 10, or 20...
