The trick I use to get my 8 cups of water a day is to drink 1 cup before a meal, and 1 cup after the meal. With three meals a day, thats 6 cups! and the other two cups (or more!) are easily put in during a workout or sipping while watching tv! With this trick I usually get about 9-13 cups of water a day!
Having a cup that has oz or cups labeled really helps too! It really gives you a visual on how much water you are actually drinking. Find your water cup that works for you, that you really love to use.

I learned this trick just last week and its a twofold trick. Before you put anything in your body in the morning drink 2 cups of water. It wakes up your bowels and will get you your water started earlier
