I have horrible problems sleeping: I struggle to get six hours, and even those aren't quality. I wake tired and often in a bad mood. I've found that if I work out for at least 20 minutes before bed (about an hour to ninety minutes before), I sleep soundly and I wake rested and energized in the morning. Even sleeping pills couldn't do that for me!

A variety of foods and beverages may increase sleep. Several herbal teas may encourage sleep. Chamomile promotes sleep, you should avoid eating refined foods like sugar and white breads, red meats, trans fatty acids in commercial baked goods, and fried foods. Good sleep promotes weight loss.
I do believe what SP says about having a good sleep. I feel that if we use positive messages before going to bed, meditate, etc., that your sleep will be better and kick start your plateau, stopping that hormone, cortisol, from keeping us from losing weight.

Poor sleep and a lack of sleep really affects all aspects of my life. When I get enough sleep, then I get more done, I'm more active, I eat better, I make better decisions, I cook better meals, I enjoy my life more. If I'm tired, then it's all quite the opposite! 320267
I find it really important to have a good bedtime routine. I wind down for at least an hour, before sleep. My pillow may be my most important ally in a good sleep. I also track my hours of sleep on SP "Other Goals", to remind myself daily, of the importance of adequate sleep.
