I use my Dutch oven instead of a slow cooker, the food comes out with a rich flavor (like in a slow cooker) but takes less time. And I can get everything ready and have my husband throw it in the oven if I'm not at home. I prep and pre-cook whatever needs to be done and put the Dutch oven in the fridge. In the end, it saves me time and saves me from having to explain how the slow cooker works.
In between bites, put your fork or spoon down until you are completely done chewing your food. If you are eating out of a container, put the package down in between bites. This gives you time to enjoy your food, and your brain/stomach to process your limit.
Slow down - eat slower. It takes your brain time to catch up with what you're eating. Put down your fork or spoon in between every single bite - you'll be amazed at how slowing down and taking time to enjoy/savor your food helps!4
I originally learned this from Weight Watchers.
