Schedule an appointment to do a task you've been putting off
Instead of cluttering up your mind thinking about something, maybe even beating yourself up for procrastinating, schedule a time to do the task. Mark it on your calendar! Treat it as if you would a doctor's appointment. Prepare and show up!

don't put that stack down until you've dealt with it
When you read your mail, stand by the trash can/recycle bin. That way you can toss unwanted junk mail and catalogs. File bills right away so you know where they are when it is time to pay. Don't just set papers down. Give them a home and only handle them once.
Put commonly used items in the same cabinet--no more going in circles to do a common task.
I keep my pitcher for making iced tea, the tea bags, and splenda on the same shelf. I make tea probably once a day. We keep our coffee things the same way. I keep breakfast items in one location too! This helps me--especially in the mornings when I'm really not ready for a scavenger hunt!334
Have a schedule of what exercise I am going to do each day for the week, including what days my rest days are really helps keep me on track. You can put them on a calendar and be able to check them off. This is great for those people who like to make lists and mark things off of them!
