certin foods contain pectin which can lower cholesterol. Pectin disolves into a gel like substance & traps fat and cholesterol. Carrots are one of the best sources of pectin, celery, and tomatoes. Pectin lowers insulin resistance and when pectin disolves in your stomach it expands, taking up more room and making you feel fuller & then its easier to lose weight. Beans are another good surce & also are citrus peels, add some zest by grating washed peels. Oat bran and also barley contain pectin
