WHEN YOU CAN NOT GET FRESH GREEN BEANS. I USE A CAN OF GREEN BEANS WITH LOW SODIUM, AND1CAN FAT FREE CHICKEN BROTH. I DRAIN THE GREEN BEANS AND COOK THEM IN THE CHICKEN BROTH. I COOK THEM UNTIL THE CHICKEN BROTH EVAPORATES IN THE GREEN BEANS. THEIR IS NO NEED FOR SALT OR BUTTER. THE GREEN BEANS ARE FULL OF FLAVOR...

    I have found that frozen green beans, no matter how you cook them, have a taste and texture much closer to fresh beans than the canned ones, which are often water-logged and soggy. Give it a try! They are much healthier, too. Frozen vegetables are typically frozen when they are at their peak, and are fresher and more nutritional than canned (and sometimes even fresher and healthier than the fresh ones, if the fresh ones are spending lots of time in route to your location, and so are picked before ripe).
