Making your salad ahead is a time saver and keeping the greens fresh and crisp is easy. Wet a few paper towels with cold water then squeeze out the excess. Lay the paper towels over the salad and add a few ice cubes to keep cool. To serve just take the paper towels off and discard. Your salad will be nice and crisp.

Easy Organization for Salad or Sandwich Preparation
I like to be able to make a meal in less than 10 minutes... so to speed things up I store all my salad makins (lettuce, green onion, tomato, nuts, etc) in a bin in the refrigerator crisper. When I make a salad, I just take out the bin and it saves a lot of time. I use the same method for sandwiches
