I have combined two stress reduction techniques - meditation and spirituality. Every night before I go to bed I listen to the day's installment of the Daily Audio Bible. (I set a goal of listening to the entire Bible in one year. So far, the streak is alive.) I follow that with Yoga Nidra meditation, leading me to sleep. It allows me to reflect on the day in positive terms, plan the next day, and sleep soundly.

    I love the idea of listening to the Bible instead of reading it; that just seems more manageable. My goal is to pray a rosary every day. I have recently changed my sleeping habits so I'm getting more sleep and arising at the same time in the morning, which gives me about half an hour to myself. That's the time I've earmarked for the rosary. It's really very meditative to repeat the same prayers over and over. The rosary is available on audio, too. I listened to the rosary while I had an MRI recently. The rhythm and the familiarity helped me get through the procedure on the second try. emoticon
