When dining out or at home make, "water" your beverage of choice. When dining out you'll save on the overpriced soft drinks, coffee, etc., not to mention the excess calories. Also, if you ask, they'll serve your water with a slice of lemon or lime. Yum! No empty calories here, and water is just what your body needs.

If the water served doesn't taste as good as you thought it should, ask to purchase bottled water. Most restaurants have bottled water available. Sparkling water like Perrier is refreshing too.
