I run with a group every Saturday. Knowing they are there, not only helps me get there for the long run, but helps me keep up with my mid-week runs, so I'll be prepared for the challenge of the Saturday run.311 For me, "Two are better than one..."
I recently joined a local running club. Having payed the annual fee and and stated my commitment to this small group is motivating me to keep going for the runs. Before joining the club, I repeatedly made excuses for not running, since I was not accountable to others.
I became a certified group fitness/aerobic instructor.
Benefits of aerobics are weight loss or management, helps tone, increases stamina, reduces fatigue, decreases stress, and burns lots of calories. Also, meet lots of fitness buddies. No special equipment is needed. Just music and water!
