The best thing I did for maintenance was to get rid of all my old clothes. I did wear them loose for a while but then when I started buying new clothes I got rid of them and never looked back. I had lost weight before and kept the old clothes and ended up having to wear them again. I think not wanting to spend the money buying big clothes is a great motivator.

As you lose weight, get rid of the "fat clothes," the clothes that have become too big on you, and never turn back.
Make a pact with yourself never to buy bigger clothes again. Unless you simply want to keep one item for nice "proof" photos of your former self. This is a huge motivating factor for me to keep my weight where it is, and not allow myself to backtrack. It's my "no-turning-back" policy
This could be anything from the loft full of baby items 20 some years old, or the friend who continuously puts you down. My biggest tip for motivation is replace the old that is holding you back with the new! Make friends who are active, get rid of old clothes, baggage and negativity!
