I'm a "girl" raised in the 1950s and my mother taught me to look around, scan a room and see what needs doing. To this day, I unconsciously do this, notice what is out of place but now, I often semi unconsciously ignore what I see! I'm working on getting back in the habit of deliberately sticking my head up and taking note of my environment and spending 5 minutes to make it better.

Soak 2 slices of day old Bread in full cream Milk for 10 minutes.Apply to this mixture to Face,Neck and Arms and rub in well..Leave on for 5-10 minutes to soak into the skin.Wash off with warm Water and pat dry.This application leaves the Skin petal soft and deep cleanses as well as moisturises it.
I have been using this from childhood.It also helps to remove tanning effects of the Sun.
My Nanny used to Oil my hair using either Coconut/Almond/sesame/Mustard Oil in rotation during my childhood every Sunday morning.She'd then soak a thick Towel in very hot Water,wring it out and tie it around my Hair to steam it.This opens the pores of the Scalp and helps Oil to penetrate deep inside
Leave in the Oil for 1 hour in the Hair.We'd wash our Hair using a mixture of Soapnuts and Shikakai Pods and our final rinse would be a mugful of Water in which a cupful of Vinegar was mixed ----this added a lovely shine to our thick lustrous hair!!!Use a can of Beer (Hops) instead if you wish!!!
