I could never do a diet diary until I decided to make my weight loss journey something I could share and inspire others with. So I started typing everything every day...how I felt, what I ate, what recipes I found. It motivated me to think I might help someone else one day who feels fat and hopeless. I feel so much more empowered and I am becoming my own weight loss expert!

Write It Down!
I find that if I don't write down what I eat, when I eat it, I forget by the time I get home and start to track it. Therefore, my food diary is indispensable!
As soon as I eat, I have to write it down. It'll take me a while to get there, but I know it will help so much more in the long run—here comes more accurate tracking!
I do the best when I write what I am going to eat before I eat it. If I eat it first, then eat way more than I want. I write in my diary at least 4 times a day.
Being HONEST with myself in my food/exercise diary helps me reach my goals.
MORE INFORMATION:
If I leave something off on purpose (because I want to stay within a certain limit) or add exercise because I need to show it only hurts me in getting to my goals.
