Right when i began to feel a sweet tooth approaching I go straight to the fridge and grab a apple. A lot of the problem with eating bad and you know you shouldn't is because you sit there and keep thinking about it then your mind starts wondering around the kitchen seeing what you have that will trigger that urge to be intense. Instead of falling off the deep end get up right when you feel like you want something & grab you some fruit, Can't regret what you didn't do. GOOD LUCK!

Just a quick tip to allow small indulgences without having to avoid the man in your life who likes to always take you out to dinner, or bring home your favorite fruit smoothie from the local ice creamery .
My BF has a habit of picking up fruit smoothies for us when he comes home from playing ball at the YMCA. Instead of refusing his kindness I break the calories down with my $0.69 Popsicle mold from the Dollar tree.

Staying on Track while still indulging your sweet tooth
Sometimes I get the munchies after dinner. So, instead of eating junk food while watching tv, I postpone dessert for about 1 hour after dinner. I do the dishes, clean up the kitchen, watch a little tv, and it's nearly 8 pm - my usual time for the munchies.
This satisfies my sweet tooth, desserts are portion controlled, and it stops the mindless snacking at night in front of the tv.
