When I quit pop or anything else I want to quit . When I see it and want it , if I quickly say I don't drink or eat or __ this ...If I saw a pop and wanted it, I would just say " I don't drink that "! And it really does work--what you say does really matter....
You can apply this to anything like eating sweets , smoking , or drinking pop. It blocks the thought process from going into to ( I have to have this_____...)

I've figured out a way to make going to the gym not only required but desired!!! I load my iphone with a great TV series (one with a few seasons that build on the last i.e. the Sopranos) and am only allowed to watch it while on the stairmaster. I tend to end my workout at a very suspenseful moment, insuring I will return the next day to watch the conclusion. I'll also download great songs/podcasts I'm only allowed to listen to while lifting weights.
Recommended TV shows during cardio: Sopranos, The Wire, Six Feet Under, Breaking Bad - you can buy them all on itunes.
Use a wet cotton ball or Q-tip to pick up the small shards of glass you can't see easily. Remember when glass breaks, small pieces can fly a distance. So if you have a larger area on the floor to cover, take a moist paper towel and fasten to a broom, mop or a duster pad and gently wipe up.
