I keep dumbbells and ankle weights by my television. When there's something on I want to see I bring a kitchen chair into the living room and do either upper or lower body strength training while I watch it. Staves off boredom.

    Simply brilliant. Everyone should try this , I use a large chair and do 100 squats

And likewise for the seating area
