I have tried so hard to loss weight and have failed miserably. Walking is the key to losing weight so I am going to start walking everyday even if it does hurt but I want this so badly. So lets all walk for a healthier life style and we will be successful.

I am going to try and walk 2 miles a day then increase it to 3 miles each week.

I walk everyday except Sunday for an hour about 4 miles. It does help with energy weight loss etc. But eating is important all the exercise in the world will not change your body like a healthy diet. For me it means salad with lean protein with only balsamic vinegar as a dressing or protein with lots and lots of veggies. I snack on Atkins treat bars they are low in sugar and taste great. Stay at 1,200 calories a day and it will happen! Good Luck

    i'm in the same situation as you are. I have lost weight in the past, when I was younger and more active. This time I have been trying to track my food and eat healthier for over 5 weeks. I have exercised a few times a week but not much walking because it also hurts for me to do it. I have not lost a pound. I go down two and up two. I've tried to keep my calories around 1200 or so a day being as honest as I can about what I eat. I guess I need to do what you are doing, walk everyday, even if it hurts.. I have two of Leslie Sansone's walking DVDs that go from 1 mile up to 5 miles.

    You can do it! Always give yourself encouragement for what you DO accomplish with your walking, not for what you "should have" done. It is good to celebrate a short walk than to beat yourself up for not walking farther, longer.

    I walk with Leslie Sansone Walk at home program...she has several on the computer and I'm up to 10 miles per week....
