Imagine my surprise when at age 60 I had to switch health insurance when they sent me a brochure that explained what Silver Sneakers was and that they would pay for it. I now belong to 2 neighborhood gyms for free. If you are over 60 check with you insurance to see if they offer this preventative
perk!

  • I forgot to mention that I also did 12 weeks of WW meetings for free in 2009. I was sent coupons to attend 12 meetings for no charge. When they ran out I had enough of my benefit left to get 12 more. - by JUDY1260
  • Our family health insurance plan includes a $400 reimbursement to use toward gym memberships, dance lessons, sports leagues, etc. I took all my Zumba classes for free in 2010 & 2011. In 2012 & 2013 we were reimbursed $400 (each year) for my daughter's weekly dance classes. - by JUDY1260

    Hi
Great tips. Have you looked up work out videos on You Tube? I use them for my workouts, plus the spark videos.
I'm calling my insurance company a.s.a.p. My husband and I pay a combined $100. per month for our gym memberships. - by YOUDUNN
