When I hit my plateau, I signed up for the SparkPeople 5K running program. It involved 3 days per week of working up to jogging a 5K. It was a great program and I was incredibly excited to get to the end result! SparkPeople has a bunch of programs to try, so pick one and stick with it

Most of us get so motivated starting a new program that we are sure we can exercise 30 mins a day, cook more, track food, and well, just stay motivated forever. Usually not so. Imagine you on your worst day - you only got 4 hours of sleep, worked a 12 hour shift, 1 kid missed the bus and the other left her homework at school, your husband ate the last remaining fruit in the fridge. For me, I exercise for 10 minutes with a SP video at home (motivation optional), log in to SP and review my goals, and plan for the next day. Being successful on my worst days keeps me consistent. Then, I can build from there.
Starting Off The New Year Right: SparkPeople Resolution
I think that the event of the New Year is great - it let's us have a fresh start on all things (especially if we're trying to find a "line-in-the-sand" time to start - say, like renewed vigor in our personal SparkPeople program). I am starting off this year on track and with the help of SparkPeople will reach my goals. I hope you make your New Year's resolutions come true this year - together we can do it!!!
