When you don't really have enough time to go to the gym (or like me - you just don't have one near to where you live and you don't have a car) - invest in your home gym. Yoga mat (I got mine for 6 EUR), resistance bands (sale - 5 for a set!!!), stability ball and a jump rope. And you have all you need to start moving!
I got all those things (and the overall bill is still less than a membership at the gym) and I can squeeze in a portion of exercise anytime in between. I am independent from anything, I decide when and how long I train. And having so much to choose from at home, I do much more.

To make sure I get my exercise everyday-I roll out of bed and take care of usual AM stuff, geta a drink of water, get dressed and go to the gym. Have people there that I see everyday. I know if I don't get right up and go it will be easy to slip back into old ways and old weight which I am not willing to do. It does help that gym is only 3.5 miles from home and open 24/7!
When eating out, I always ask for ice water with a lemon slice. It encourages me to drink my water, the lemon cuts the chlorine in the water, and makes it easier to drink. It also saves money to drink water.
This is an easy solution, keeps you from drinking soda, and keeps you hydrated.
